Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the traveler) and Smashing Africa Tours Limited, a registered safari operator in Arusha, Tanzania.

By booking a custom safari, mountain trek, cultural experience, or Zanzibar package with us, you explicitly accept these terms and conditions.

• Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total safari value is required to confirm your booking and secure permits (national park entries, chimpanzee tracking, hotel allotments).
• Final Balance: The remaining 70% balance must be paid at least 45 days prior to your safari start date. If a booking is made within 45 days of departure, full payment is required immediately.
• Payment Methods: We accept international bank wire transfers (SWIFT) or secure online credit/debit card payments. Traveler is responsible for bank transfer fees.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email. The following cancellation fees apply depending on the timing of receipt:

• More than 60 days before safari starts: Deposit is forfeited, no additional fee.
• 45 to 59 days before safari starts: 50% of the total tour price is forfeited.
• 30 to 44 days before safari starts: 75% of the total tour price is forfeited.
• Less than 30 days before safari starts: 100% of the total tour price is forfeited.

Note: Permits for Mount Kilimanjaro treks and domestic flights are non-refundable once purchased.

Travel Insurance: It is a strict condition of travel that all clients purchase comprehensive international travel insurance covering medical emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, personal injury, baggage loss, and repatriation.

Wildlife and Mountain Hazards: Safaris and mountain climbing involve inherent risks. We will take every precaution to ensure your safety, but we are not liable for personal injury, illness, animal interactions, or mountain sickness on Kilimanjaro or Meru treks.

Force Majeure: Smashing Africa Tours is not responsible for cancellations or adjustments caused by war, civil unrest, government actions, pandemics, extreme weather conditions, or flight delays.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising under this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania in Arusha.
